Turner Receives Multiple Workforce Development Awards from GBRIA

Turner Industries Group and Turner Specialty Services once again received “Excellence Award” in their respective categories at the 2021 Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance (GBRIA) Workforce
Development Awards.

Turner Industries Group was awarded an Excellence award for General Construction and Maintenance – Division III and the Best in Division award for Division III. Turner Specialty Services, LLC won the Excellence award for Technical Support – Division II and the Best in Division award for Division II.

The Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance, Inc. (GBRIA) Craft Workforce Development Awards, developed in 2007, acts as both an awards and benchmarking program. The program has been designed to promote best practices to improve the skills and retention of craft personnel in the region and to recognize and reward contractors, member plants, schools, educators and other individuals who contribute to recruitment, assessment, training, career path education and retention efforts. The awards support one of GBRIA’s strategic objectives to ensure access to a competitive and skilled company & contract workforce.
